Waikoloa Future Foresters

The  Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative: Waikoloa Future Foresters program is a free, forest restoration and outdoor learning program for children ages 9-15. The program is field based with a dynamic lesson plan. We focus on native Hawaiian dry forest ecosystemsm and our lessons are based on sciences, culture, conservation, stewardship, arts and traditional Hawaiian crafts. The Future Foresters meet every other Saturday from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

In addition, volunteer days are open to adults and children over the age of 9, younger children may attend with a parent.

    I would just like to say that I love this program, it’s very educational and fun for the children in the community!
    This program should consider another class for older students around middle/high school age so we can continue learning!
